College Recruiters Target Columbia High School
Columbia High School recently hosted Career and College Night, with nearly 150 colleges and universities attending.

Nearly 150 colleges and universities visited Columbia High School on March 13 for College and Career Night, which was jam packed with parents, students, recruiters, admissions officers, and representative alums. "I had no idea there would be such a huge crowd tonight," remarked a recruiter who traveled all the way from Tulane University. "This is tremendous."
Dartmouth, Harvard, Rutgers, University of Pennsylvania, Yale, and Penn State all booked private rooms, while representatives from all the other schools scrambled to set up tables in corridors and in the main gymn. An extremely diverse assortment of colleges and universities, from as far away as Florida and Michigan, were present and there was truly something for everyone. CHS students could chat with representatives from Oberlin, Bowdoin, Seton Hall, the University of Michigan, West Point, a Pharmaceutical Sciences College, the US Naval Academy, a Criminal Justice College, or a school for Modeling and Acting, to name just a few.
