Local Transit Activist Endorses Sandow for South Orange BOT
Endorsement of Robert Sandow for South Orange Board of Trustees

Dear Neighbors:
Next Tuesday, May 14, we will have the opportunity to elect three new members of the Board of Trustees. When I consider who to vote for, I want someone who understands the issues, will speak up for residents and will put an end to the recent secrecy that has been occurring on the Board of Trustees. I feel strongly that the best candidate is Robert Sandow.
When NJ Transit altered their schedule last Fall, Rob Sandow understood the impact firsthand because he commutes to New York City everyday and he supported my lobbying efforts to compel them to change the schedule back. After Hurricane Sandy, when commuters had no way to get to work, Village President Torpey told me it was not his problem. However, Rob Sandow understood the impact this caused for commuters and as Trustee, I know he will do whatever he can to help all residents of this Village.
When Rob saw the continuing issues with SOPAC, he didn't just sit around and complain. He stepped up and volunteered to join the SOPAC Board to be a part of the solution.

Lastly, in recent months, there have numerous instances of no-bid contracts with claims of "transparency", when in reality our tax dollars are being squandered on frivolous projects. Rob Sandow has pledged to put an end to this behavior. With the enormous taxes we all pay, we deserve real transparency and accountability. I am confident that Rob Sandow is the best candidate to do this. I hope you will join me in supporting him for Trustee on Tuesday, May 14.
Sincerely,
