Wendy has been providing geriatric care management and elder care support in a variety of settings over recent years. Most recently, Wendy provided professional geriatric care management for a private firm in New Jersey. Leading up to that position, Wendy had been working as a social worker with Jewish Family Services at Congregation Agudath Israel (Caldwell) and Bnai Shalom(West Orange). While working with congregants, much of her supportive interventions were related to eldercare crisis and care giving. There, she also developed and led several caregiver support groups. Prior to that, Wendy worked in Verona and Caldwell Community Senior Programs, where she was part of the LIVE programs (Livelong Involvement for Vital Elders), which allowed older adults to age in place.
Wendy graduated from NYU School of Social Work with an advanced degree in clinical social work. She spent the early years of her social work career in Corporate and Union Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). Raised in South Orange, NJ, and now a Montclair, NJ, resident, Wendy has spent many years as a volunteer in her community, serving her synagogue, Congregation Shomrei Emunah, as well as the Montclair Public Schools. She is currently the co-facilitator of the Judy and Josh Weston Awards for Teacher Excellence.
