National Night Out, Tonight (8/6) on Flood's Hill from 6:30pm - 10:00pm

Dear Neighbors,

Tonight (Tuesday, August 6) the Village will be celebrating National Night Out ("Americas Night Out Against Crime") from 6:30pm - 10:00pm on Flood's Hill.

Here in South Orange, we use this event to thank all of our public safety personnel and volunteers while enjoying a good time with our neighbors.  This event began four years ago and has grown into one of the largest community events in town.

Tonight's lineup is as follow:

6:30pm - 8:15pm

• Live Music (Aisle Five Band - a rock and pop band covering ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s classics) 
• Public Safety Fair - Learn more about our Police Dept., Fire Dept. Rescue Squad, Neighborhood Watch, Citizens Public Safety Committee, Community Emergency Response Team (SO and SHU) and Domestic Violence Response Team (we also have a guest appearance for the NJTransit K9 Unit)
• Giveaways - we have National Night Out t-shirts for the first 100 kids, balloons, hand fans, glow sticks, mini basketballs, frisbees, temp tattoos and coloring books. 
• Kids Zone with bouncy houses - fire truck maze, moon bounce, truck slide, triple play sports cage and NEW this year, we have an inflatable jousting arena. We also have kids activities with our favorite gym teacher back for the 4th year, Jeff Kaeshaeffer 
• Food and Ice Cream - a variety of trucks and local vendors
