Senator Menendez Is Coming To Seton Hall on Sunday

Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) will be coming to Seton Hall University on Sunday to be the featured speaker of the Dr. Marcia Robbins-Wilf Lecture Series.  The series is part of the Sister Rose Fund for Education in Jewish-Christian Studies.  This will be the first lecture of the series and will be held at Jubilee Hall at 2 p.m.  Senator Menendez will address The Legacy of Sister Rose. 

Dr. Marcia Robbins-Wilf, a trustee of the Sister Rose Thering Fund, endowed the lecture series that bears her name in 2009.  Her vision for the series is to present meaningful speakers and programs that will further the work of the late Sister Rose, whose lifelong efforts built important bridges of understanding, compassion and trust between Jews and Christians.

This series is part of the Sister Rose Thering Fund for Education in Jewish-Christian Studies.  The fund was created and named in honor of Sister Rose Thering, O.P., Ph.D., in recognition and appreciation of her exemplary dedication throughout her life to improving Jewish-Christian relations through teacher education, especially at the elementary and secondary school levels.  More than 350 teachers throughout New Jersey have benefited from Fund scholarships for their studies at Seton Hall University’s Jewish-Christian Studies graduate program during the past 18 years, and have had an impact on more than 150,000 classroom students.
