SUMMIT, NJ – December 22, 2024, Ellery Beck, 12, of South Orange, New Jersey, will play the star role of “Fritz” and featured in “Walts of the Flowers Garland” in this year’s full-length production of New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble’s (NJDTE) holiday classic: THE NUTCRACKER. Ellery, the son of Linda and Jeremy Beck, currently attends South Orange Middle School.

NJDTE celebrates its 55th Season of the full-length production of THE NUTCRACKER. Set to the classical music of Peter Tchaikovsky and choreographed by NJDTE Artistic Director, Nancy Turano, the ballet features 64 talented pre-professional dancers from New Jersey alongside international guest artists Ballet Hispanico, Complexions former NJ Ballet Stars and Alumni of NJDTE. "Nutcracker season is my favorite time of year, and this year is extra special for me because Fritz gets to do so much on stage in so little time.” says Ellery.
Ellery is a very driven dancer who has talent and artistic ability, which make him a standout on stage. He truly embodies the role of Fritz in the Nutcracker which also requires acting in addition to technical steps. We look forward to watching him continue to grow as a dancer.” says Artistic Director Nancy Turano
All performances take place at The Memorial Auditorium at Montclair State University on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at 1:00pm and 5:00pm.
