Tour An Essex County Cemetery: Post-Halloween Activity For 2015

This year, move beyond the haunted houses, Essex County.

How about a guided tour through a 150-year-old cemetery?

On Sunday, Nov. 1, the Montclair Historical Society will host a walking tour of Rosedale Cemetery, 408 Orange Road in Montclair.

The tour will take place at 1:30 p.m., and will be given by MHS Executive Director Jane Eliasof and Manager of Audience Engagement Angelica Diggs.

Tour highlights will include a history of the cemetery, grave imagery and notables among the interred.

The tour will begin at the Rosedale Chapel for a brief introduction. Carpooling is suggested due to limited parking on site and driving to distant parts of the cemetery.

The suggested donation is $5. Advanced registration is requested, and can be made via mail@montclairhistorical.org or 973-744-1796.
