Trustees to Hold Special Meeting Tonight to Discuss Village Hall Renovation

Tonight, at 6 p.m. in Village Hall, the South Orange Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting with a sole agenda item, the discussion of Village Hall's future. 

A week ago, at the last BOT meeting, the trustees to buy and renovate Village Hall and lease back parts of the building to the town. 

It was also determined that the town has just under two weeks to make a final decision about whether to use a grant from the for the exterior restoration of Village Hall.  The grant would be lost if the building was sold to a private owner or if not accepted by November 30.

Tonight's meeting is open to the public and action is allowed to be taken if a final decision is reached.
