Sparta Ballot Counting Continues - Gap Narrows in Tight Township Council Election (TAPinto Sparta) — Just 51 votes separate Martin Convey and Robert Otto in Sparta’s unresolved Township Council race, down from 83 on election night. With 61 provisional ballots awaiting review, counting continues after the Nov. 9 mail-in receipt deadline. Voters notified of signature problems have until Nov. 14 to return ballot corrections.
   

2. ImageCare Teamster members in Sussex County vote to go on strike (roi-nj.com) — Union imaging workers at ImageCare in Sussex County, where the company has facilities in Sparta, Franklin and Newton, have authorized a strike while seeking their first contract. The 45 technologists and aides want better wages and affordable health coverage. No strike date was reported, and company representatives could not be reached for comment.
   

3. Receptionist shared N.J. teen's medical records revealing pregnancy, lawsuit says (nj.com subscription) — A lawsuit alleges a receptionist at Sparta’s All About Women GYN Associates photographed a teenage patient’s confidential medical records and shared them, leading to bullying and harassment. The patient’s attorney says the receptionist was fired after an internal investigation. The practice declined to comment on pending litigation.
   

4. Operation Toy Train announces 2026 toy collection stops in Warren, Sussex and Morris counties (wrnjradio.com) — Operation Toy Train will collect donations at Sparta Train Station, 30 Station Road, on December 12 from 3:55 to 4:20 p.m. Residents can bring new, unwrapped toys to support Toys for Tots distributions serving Sussex and five other counties, with opportunities to meet Santa and see historic railroad equipment.
   

5. Morris/Sussex runners post personal bests, advance to Meet of Champions (njherald.com) — Sparta senior Celia Rossettini is headed to the Meet of Champions, becoming the first Spartans girl to qualify since Claudia DiSomma in 2011 and 2012. Her 19:35.49 finish at Holmdel shaved 25 seconds off her course best and secured the final automatic qualifying spot for the Nov. 14 meet.
