• Two School Districts Among First in the State to Pass the Civility Resolution (njsba.org) — Sparta’s Board of Education has formally adopted the New Jersey School Boards Association’s new Civility Resolution, pledging more respectful, transparent conduct at meetings and in public discourse. Board members read the resolution into the record, recited a civility pledge together, and emphasized how maintaining decorum helps them better serve Sparta students and restore public trust, while Great Meadows Regional did the same.
   

• Sparta Girls Lacrosse Defeats Voorhees, Advances to Sectional Semifinals (tapinto.net) — Sparta High School’s girls lacrosse team just knocked off Voorhees 14–9 at home to reach the sectional semifinals, powered by hat tricks from multiple Spartans and a huge third-quarter surge. They’ll host Pascack Valley in Sparta on Thursday, June 4 at 2 p.m., with a trip to the sectional final on the line.
