• Springfield Travel Basketball Tryout Registration Opens For 2026-27 Season (patch.com) — Springfield families can now register their children in grades 4–8 for fall 2026 and winter 2027 travel basketball tryouts, with separate Nettes and Minutemen teams. Online registration through Springfield's Community Pass is required by Oct. 4, along with attending tryouts, and residents can contact the Recreation Department or Springfield Basketball Association for more details.
