Car Drives Into Springfield Building, Driver Seriously Injured
The car reportedly went over a curb, across a lawn and into the side of the office building while upside down, Springfield Police said.

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — A car smashed into the side of a building in Springfield with such force that it left large hole and sent the two passengers to the hospital on Wednesday night.
Motorists passing by called 911 at 11:57 p.m. to report a Nissan Altima struck a building at 65 Springfield Avenue.
The car reportedly went over a curb, across a lawn and into the side of the office building while upside down, Springfield Police Det. Lt. Judd Levenson told Patch.

"The vehicle struck the building and went into the side of the building and bounced back out of it," Levenson said. "It left a substantial sized hole in the wall where you could look into it and see the offices. There were no workers inside at the time."
Inside the car was a 29-year-old male driver and a 26-year-old female passenger. The passenger was transported by Springfield First Aid Squad to University Hospital in Newark.

The driver was more severely injured and airlifted to the hospital. He is still being working on by doctors at this time.
The crash is under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
