The Township of Springfield Steering Committee for creating a Business Improvement District meeting for Business and Property owners has been rescheduled due to weather reports, and will be held on February 2, 2011, at 7:00 pm in the Firehouse Training Room, 100 Mountain Ave.

 A Business Improvement District is a Public/Private Partnership created by the Municipality to focus on the health and success of the town’s business districts/downtown. The meeting is being held as an open forum to answer questions and receive input from those who can directly benefit from a Business Improvement District. The Committee who is comprised of Business and Property owners who are striving to improve Springfield’s business districts and downtown. This group has been meeting since October 2010 to develop a Strategic Plan that will help achieve the goals of the business community. The committee believes it is important to hear from other business and property owners so that they can be part of the process.
