
The Springfield Public Library is hosting "Glimpses of the World Trade Center in Film: 1975-2001". Today's film is "Trading Places" (1983). Eddie Murphy and Dan Ackroyd star in director John Landis’s brilliant role-reversal comedy. Murphy takes the commodi- ties market by storm when two conniving brothers scheme to allow an out-of-work street bum to take the place of a wealthy executive, with outrageous results. The characters are seen arriving at the World Trade Center plaza, and the WTC’s commodities trading floor is featured in the film. With Jamie Lee Curtis. This film is 118 minutes and rated R.
