Mike Yard is one of the hottest comedians touring the country today. In addition to being one of the most sought after acts on the college and university circuit, Mike's made a name for himself as one of New York City's premier comedians. Born on the luscious island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Mike gave up his dreams of becoming a professional baseball player and moved with his family to New York in the winter of 1986. After experiencing snow for the first time and surviving both his first New York winter and New York City Public school system, Mike decided to brave the even colder and harsher NYC Comedy Scene. In addition to being a critically acclaimed comic, Mike is developing a reputation as a talented writer and voice-over talent. He's been a cast member and writer on the Internet radio sketch show "Mo' Funny Comedy Hour" and on an animated pilot for Spike TV! His repertoire of voices includes dialects from the Caribbean, Africa, India, Ireland, England and many more exotic lands. Mike has a knack for making his diverse audiences see, hear and feel his comedy. He's quickly becoming a familiar face with his numerous television appearances. The include, comedy Central's "Live At Gotham", The Apollo comedy Hour, Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam, BET's Comic View and Video Vixens on MTV. Mike's proudest accomplishments include Rev. Jessie Jackson's invitation to perform twice for the Rainbow Coalition national convention in New York and Chicago. Mike is an incredibly talented comic, and an all around "good guy". Don't miss him at The Comedy Cove at Scotty's Steakhouse this Valentines Weekend.Mike's show is also featuring the very funny Vinnie Nardiello & Matt Jenkins!
