The use of Martial Arts as a Modality in Pediatric Rehabilitation

This seminar has been submitted ot the NJ State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners  for 6 hours of continuing education. Practitioners must continuously expand the use of modalities in treating the pediatric population with neuro-developmental/muscular disorders. Stepping out of the box with traditional therapies we can offer children a unique experience to participate in a "socially accepted" program while achieving gross/fine motor, speech/language and psychosocial skills. This one day seminar will cover the role of martial arts instructor, therapist, parent and student using Martial Arts as a modality in improving daily function for children with a multitude of diagnoses.
