Family-Friendly Volunteering on 5/2 at Jersey Cares Day- Service Express!
Get your family together to take action to benefit the local community! Drop in on 5/2 to complete a volunteer project and get a free tshirt
On Saturday, May 2nd for the 17th Annual Jersey Cares Day, over 2,000 volunteers across the Garden State will take action and revitalize their communities!
This is a great opportunity for volunteers of all ages to get engaged and come together as a family. At Service Express in Union, NJ, volunteers can drop in from 10AM to 12PM at the Boys & Girls Club of Union to complete a series of short but impactful projects.
Whether you have 15 minutes or 2 hours, you can complete any of the following project stations:

- Assembling Back-to-School kits for students preparing for the 2015-2016 school year
- Decorating mini-planters and tree sapling kits to teach sustainability to elementary students
- Creating customized super hero capes for hospitalized children
- No-sew fleece blankets and pillows to be donated to transitional shelters
- Preparing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for a local soup kitchen
- Decorating patriotic picture frames to celebrate veterans
- and many more!
