Grass Clipping Drop-Off Hours Extended
The Department of Public Works has expanded the hours for grass clipping drop-off at 54 Center St.

If you find yourself with more grass clippings than ever thanks to last weekend's rain, you'll have more time to drop them off now that Springfield's Department of Public Works has extended its hours at 54 Center St.
The expanded hours are as follows and continue through Friday, Oct. 25:
Tuesday 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. – one extra hour
Friday – 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. – one extra hour
Wednesday – 1 p.m. – 3 pm – additional day and 2 additional hours

When electronic recycling takes place on the first Saturday of every month, grass clippings can also be brought to the Community Pool location. Please note clippings may be put in paper recyclable bags or in garbage cans to be dumped into the on-site Township containers. Public works cannot accept any materials in plastic bags.
