Last Day of MusicFest Features Jersey Favorites
The Smithereens and Southside Johnny closed out the five-day event.
Another MusicFest is in the books, and while there was a lot to see and do – music, food, games, cars – it seemed fans came out to kick back, enjoy the best Union County has to offer, and say hello to autumn in style.
"We have a two-year-old – we gotta entertain her somehow!" said Jeff Ganzer of Westfield.
The Smithereens from Scotch Plains and South Jersey's Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes played to enthusiastic hometown crowds on the final evening of MusicFest.

"I have a friend that lives in Clark," said Matawan resident Robert Deselich. "I look forward to MusicFest every year. It's a great time.
Storming the main stage in the afternoon were student's of New Jersey's School of Rock in Monmouth County, Somerville and more. Performances included covers of New Jersey's own Bruce Springsteen.

"MusicFest has consistently provided a great place for everyone to check out a fun fair and great live music," said John Maloney of Scotch Plains. "I come every year and I'll be here next year!"
