Mayor Keffer: Update on Football Field

Township a step closer to turf field for Dayton.

I’m happy to announce that tonight, at the Township Committee meeting, we continued our progress toward developing a football field at Dayton High School by awarding an important contract.

This step comes after having spent months working with local engineering firms, the NJ Department of Environmental Protection and Union County to make sure that we build the field in a legal, appropriate and environmentally responsible way. This contract will be funded through a grant from Union County so our township budget will not be affected.

I am committed to developing this project and seeing it through to completion. Having a modern field for our students not only encourages sports and recreation but also speaks volumes for our town and property values. Tonight's action, keeps the ball rolling and I will continue to work hard to make this important project a reality.
