Photo: Dr. Margaret McMenamin Honored by Union County Officials

Dr. Margaret McMenamin of Springfield was honored at the Union County 20th Annual Women of Excellence Awards dinner in March. Dr. McMenamin, the President of Union County College, was honored for excellence in education.

The Commission on the Status of Women is sponsored by The Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders. The commission aims to call attention to the contributions of women who live or work in Union County.

Each year, they give awards to women in fields including education, health care, the arts, government, business, law, community service, technology and humanitarianism.
