"I was at work when I got the call, " Millman said. "And although I don't remember every detail, I know I was sort of in shock. I wasn't jumping up and down, that's not usually how I react, I remember being very relaxed about hearing the news, but shocked at the same time. It definitely sank in later for me," she tells us.
But an opportunity like this means lots of hard work and time. Millman has rehearsed in Manhattan studios with her band for weeks in preparation of the show.

"As with many TV shows where artists are performing, there are time constraints, so we've had to work around those and change up the song a little bit," Millman said. "Personally, I've been just trying to relax and stay in a good place."
The show was just one part of a hectic March Madness for Rachel. While appearing in the online show" The Music Mentor" she's also prepping new material.
"We are also working on pre-production for my second release right now," Rachel said. "I am excited to record the new songs we’ve been introducing into my live set over the past year since I’ve been performing live with my band. I'm also starting to work on a cover project. We are putting together a show of some amazing songs that I grew up listening to and some classic R&B and rock n roll tunes."
