Saint James the Apostle School Hatches a New Way to Learn About Science

Baby chicks hatch in PreK-3 classroom at Saint James the Apostle School!

Students in Ms. Scheuermann’s PreK-3 at Saint James the Apostle School have been watching and caring for their Rhode Island Red chick eggs for 21 days, and they have finally hatched! The new, fuzzy, and very cute friends will be cared for in the classroom for a week before being returned to Abma’s Farms in Wyckoff, NJ. The students enjoy observing the baby chicks everyday to see their growth while interacting with these adorable living things in a way that promotes respect.
