Saint James the Apostle School's Girls Club Lends a Helping Hand

Girls spend the day serving the homeless in Newark.

Several members of the middle school Girls Club at Saint James the Apostle School in Springfield recently served at St. Augustine’s Soup Kitchen in Newark. The seventh graders gave of their time on a Saturday to work with the Missionaries of Charity to prepare and serve a warm meal to the soup kitchen guests. This particular Saturday saw 70 guests fed by the meals prepared and served at St. Augustine’s with the help of the Saint James Girls Club members.
