Snow Report from Springfield Mayor Hugh Keffer

The snow has weighed down power lines and, so far, two lines have fallen, one on Cambridge and another on Shunpike. Mountain Avenue has been closed from Shunpike to Route 22.

The line on Shunpike feeds Overlook Hospital and is of concern since it is a trunk line. JCP&L gave us contact information yesterday with the expectation that this would happen.

They reported calling in crews from out of State to be ready. If your power is out or you know of down power lines please contact JCP&L at 1-888-544-4877. We will continue to monitor the situation.
