Springfield Employee Recognition: Officer Jon Rachel
Officer recognized for successfully applying for a competitive statewide red light camera enforcement program

Six Springfield Employees were recognized for their service to the Township at a morning “Mugging" event this week.
Township Administrator Anthony Cancro gave six employees—including three retirees—with superlative service records mugs in recognition of their on-the-job achievements. The municipal employees recognized included library employees, police officers and maintenance workers.
Before presenting the mugs, provided by Investor’s Savings Bank, Cancro spotlighted the how each employee was an asset to the Township, and thanked them each for “going the extra mile.”
This month, Patch will feature each employee recognized in the Mugging Event.
Springfield Police Officer Jon Rachel
Rachel successfully applied for a competitive statewide red light camera enforcement program. It was a competitive application process, and only 24 municipalities qualified for the program, which provides surveillance cameras that photograph cars that run red lights.
“Without Jon’s hard work, effort and commitment to detail, I think one of the other towns would have been picked,” Cancro said.
