$2,200 Tablet Stolen From Summit Business: Police

SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Police Department are looking for the person responsible for stealing a $2,200 tablet from a Union Place business on June 25.

According to authorities, the suspect entered an adjoining business and requested to use the restroom. Through surveillance video, the suspect was seen entering a closed section of the business and removing a black iPad Pro 12.9” tablet and placing it inside his suit jacket, police said.

The suspect then exited the business and is described as a black male, approximately 6’2”, wearing sunglasses on his head, a gray suit jacket, blue shirt, white gym shorts, black socks and black shoes, police said.

The total value of the tablet at the time of the report was approximately $2,200.
