2 Cars Stolen, 1 Burglarized: All Unlocked In Summit
Both vehicles stolen were unlocked with the keys left inside, said Summit Police.
SUMMIT, NJ — Two cars were stolen and one burglarized in Summit — all of which were unlocked, according to Summit Police's latest police blotter.
On May 25 at 11:45 a.m., the driver of a black 2018 Mercedes-Benz E300 said they went left the car unlocked with the key fob inside while they went into an Ashwood Avenue business to use the restroom, said Summit Police.
When they returned to the parking lot, the car was gone. The car is valued at $35,000.

On May 25 at 1:14 p.m., a Blackburn Road resident said sometime during the morning hours someone went into their unlocked 2020 Ford Explorer and stole their waller, said police.
The contents of the wallet included multiple credit cards and cash, said police.

On May 29 at 9:04 a.m., a Ridge Road resident said sometime overnight someone stole their black 2021 Porsche Cayenne Wagon, said police.
The SUV was unlocked with the key fob inside. It is valued at about $70,000.
