$2K In Electronics Stolen From Summit Church
Multiple thefts from unlocked vehicles, a bike, wallet and $2,757 worth of electronics from a church were reported in Summit, police say.

SUMMIT, NJ — A church on Waldron Avenue reported a theft on Sept. 23 at 3:28 p.m.
The victim reports the incident occurred between 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 22 and 2 p.m. on Sept. 23. Taken from the offices were one MacBook Air 13 inch laptop, one Dell Studio 15 laptop and one Canon Vixia HF R700. Total value of the stolen items was approximately $2,757, police reported.

On Sept. 9 at 12:05 p.m.: A report was taken for a lost/stolen cell phone. The victim reported the incident occurred between 3:30 and 5 p.m. on Sept. 8 in the Central Business District area of Summit. The cell phone was described as an Apple iPhone 6 in a purple case. The cell phone was valued at approximately $800.
On Sept. 13 at 10:23 a.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a plastic lawn sign from a Druid Hill Road residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 13. Taken from the front yard of the residence was a 2’ x 3’ plastic sign with the words “Jet Floors” on it. The victim reported the sign is worth approximately $200.

On Sept. 14 at 4:53 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft by an unauthorized use of a company credit card for a business on Springfield Avenue. The victim reported an employee had been provided with a company credit card to purchase a few items at a local business and in turn also purchased a gift card. The total value of the unauthorized charges was $250.95.
On Sept. 19 at 10:34 a.m.: A report was taken for a theft from an unlocked motor vehicle, parked in a driveway of a Dale Drive residence. The victim reported the incident occurred between 9 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 10:34 a.m. on Sept. 19. Removed from the unsecured vehicle were a black leather Coach briefcase and a black leather Coach wallet. Total value of the stolen items was approximately $800.
On Sept. 21: Sergio A. Lourenco, 21, of Newark was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Lourenco was released with a pending court date.
On Sept. 21 at 3:05 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a bicycle from an Edgar Street residence. The victim reports the incident occurred between Sept. 14 and Sept. 16. The bicycle was described as a men’s maroon/red Trek mountain bike, valued at approximately $600.
On Sept. 22 at 10:28 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a wallet from a school on Beverly Road. The victim reports the incident occurred between 8 and 10:28 p.m. Taken was a red Goyard card holder wallet valued at approximately $500. It contained approximately $40 in cash and a debit card.
On Sept. 24 at 11:59 p.m.: A report as taken for a theft from a parked, unlocked motor vehicle. The incident occurred between 3:30 and 11:30 p.m. when the victim left the vehicle in a garage on Beauvoir Avenue. Removed from the vehicle was one hospital employee ID. Total value of the stolen item was approximately $5.
