$3,500 Deposit Sought For Auto Work: Summit Police
A victim is trying to get a $3,500 deposit back for auto work, police said.
SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Police are investigating a reported theft of money involving car repairs.
According to police, the victim made a report for theft of money. The victim reported to have provided a cash deposit to the suspect on May 18 in the amount of $3,500 for work to be completed on the victim’s vehicle.
The victim then returned to the suspects residence on May 19 to retrieve the cash deposit, advising that the work was no longer to be completed, police said. After weeks of trying to retrieve the deposit with no response, the victim filed a report with the police.
