3 Cars Burglarized, 2 Delivery Packages Stolen In Summit
Three unlocked cars were broken into and two packages were stolen from Summit homes recently, according to police.

SUMMIT, NJ — Three unlocked cars were broken into and two packages were stolen from Summit homes recently, according to police.
Summit Police Blotter:
On Jan. 8: CJ H. Garifalos, 20, of Union was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a contempt of court warrant. Garifalos was released with a pending court date.

On Jan. 9: Christopher V. Guerriero, 29, of West Orange was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle and use of paraphernalia. Guerriero was released with a pending court date.
On Jan. 9: Bishara R. Tyler, 40, of Plainfield was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a contempt of court warrant from Plainfield. Tyler was released with a pending court date.

On Jan. 10: Shaquille O’Neal, 23, of Brooklyn, New York was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. O’Neal was released with a pending court date.
On Jan. 10: Gulam A. Charania, 54, of Edison was arrested on a contempt of court warrant out of South Brunswick. Charania posted bail and was released with a pending court date.
On Jan. 10: Brian A. Toglia, 39, of Wayne, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Toglia was released with a pending court date.
On Jan. 10 at 12:43 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft from a Kent Place Boulevard residence. The victim reports that a 12 volt battery tender was taken from his backyard. The approximate value of the item is $40.
On Jan. 10 at 5:59 p.m.: A fraud report was taken. The victim states an unknown male identified himself via phone as a JCP&L employee and that her account was past due. The male party advised her to respond to a Walgreen’s and purchase a prepaid Money Pak for $392.31. Once she did this, she was to contact him back and provide the prepaid debit card number.
On Jan. 11: Kenneth Perez, 42, of Newark was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and use of paraphernalia. Perez was released with a pending court date.
On Jan. 12: Anthony N. Gray, 31, of the Bronx, New York was arrested and charged with conspiracy.
On Jan. 12: Oluwole O. Ojudun, 31, of the Bronx, New York was arrested and charged with theft by deception and forgery.
On Jan. 12: Jerry Cesaro, 53, of the Bronx, New York was arrested and charged with theft by deception, forgery, use of paraphernalia, false identity and resisting arrest by physical force/violence.
On Jan. 12: Ruben Camacho, 48, of West New York was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and multiple contempt of court warrants out of Hudson County. Camacho was transported to the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department where custody was turned over to the Sheriff’s Department.
On Jan. 12: Victor M. Pizarro, 41, of Jersey City was arrested on an outstanding contempt of court warrant from Mendham and an outstanding warrant from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Department. Pizarro was provided a new court date for the Mendham warrant. However, was transported to Hudson County Sheriff’s Office where custody was turned over to the Sheriff’s Department.
On Jan. 15: Elvin N. Rosa-Buezo, 33, of Union, Maryland was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Rosa-Buezo was released with a pending court date.
On Jan. 16: Desiree M. Jessie, 50, of Newark was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a contempt of court warrant out of Woodbridge. Jessie was able to post bail and was released with a pending court date.
On Jan. 16: Andrew J. Salmon, 49, of Howell was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Salmon was released with a pending court date.
On Jan. 16 at 3:45 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a purse from a Park Avenue business. The victim reports her purse was taken between noon and 9 p.m. on Jan. 6. Stolen were a Costa Rican Passport, a Social Security Card, a U.S. Residency card and approximately $23 in cash.
On Jan. 17 at 7:43 a.m.: A report was taken for an unlocked motor vehicle, parked in the driveway of a Wade Drive residence that was entered during the overnight hours. The incident occurred between Jan. 16 and Jan. 17. The vehicle had been rummaged through, but no items were taken according to the victim.
On Jan. 17 at 8:04 a.m.: A report was taken for a theft from an unlocked motor vehicle parked in the driveway of a Woodland Avenue residence. The incident occurred between midnight and 7:30 a.m. this date. Take from the vehicle was approximately $300 cash and several credit and health care cards.·
On Jan. 17 at 9:27 a.m.: A report was taken for a theft from an unlocked motor vehicle parked in the driveway of a Canoe Brook Parkway residence. The incident occurred between 11 p.m. on Jan. 16 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 17. Taken from the vehicle was approximately $1 in loose change. A second vehicle, also left unlocked, was entered but nothing was removed.
On Jan. 17 at 11:42 a.m.: A report was taken for a theft of packages from a Morris Avenue residence. The victim reports the theft occurred between 2:01 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the same date. Taken from the residence were two yellow fog lights H3 LED bulbs valued at approximately $50.
On Jan. 18 at 3:39 a.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a package from a Morris Avenue residence. The victim reports the theft occurred on Dec. 24 between 5:42 p.m. and 11 p.m. Taken from the residence were one Takata-Bride Duffle Bag and one FAST Collection Poster for a combined value of approximately $59.98.
On Jan. 18: Silvio D. Freitas, 33, of Newark was arrested on a contempt of court warrant out of Oradel. Freitas posted bail and was released with a pending court date.
On Jan. 18: Tarique A. Campbell, 31, of Newark was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a contempt of court warrant out of Newark. Campbell was transported to the Newark Police Department where custody was turned over to their officers.
On Jan. 18: Quentin C. Hunt, 54, of South Orange was arrested and charged with burglary and theft by unlawful taking. Hunt was released with a pending court date.
On Jan. 20: Rose L. Cromwell, 23, of Summit was arrested and charged with theft by deception and forgery.
