3 Summit Locals Arrested and 6 Home Burglaries Reported
A burglar allegedly stole numerous pieces of jewelry valued at approximately $150,000 from a Summit home: blotter

SUMMIT, NJ — A total of three Summit locals were arrested on separate incidents for possession of drugs, assault and contempt of court. Six Summit homes were also reportedly burglarizes, according to police.
Summit Police Blotter:
On Oct. 3 at 1:46 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft from a Morris Avenue business. The incident occurred between 10:15 and 10:30 a.m. hours on Sept. 17. Taken from a desk of an employee was a State of New Jersey Dealer Inspection Sticker.

On Oct. 4: Tristan R. Petion, 28, of Brooklyn, New York was arrested for possession of CDS and possession of paraphernalia. Petion was released with a pending court date.
On Oct. 5 at 4:55 p.m.: A report was taken for a lost/stolen wristlet in the 600 block of Springfield Avenue. The victim reported the incident occurred between 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 and sometime during the day on Oct. 4. The wristlet, which contained $60 to $80 cash, several debit/credit cards, and a driver’s license. Total value of the items was approximately $225.

On Oct. 5 at 6:44 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft from a Morris Avenue residence. The victim reports approximately $6,000 in cash was removed from a bedroom. The victim was unsure of a time frame on when the money was taken.
On Oct. 6: Yalitza I. Hernandez, 27, of Somerset, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Hernandez was released with a pending court date.
On Oct. 7 at 11:25 p.m.: A report for a burglary to a Little Wolf Road residence was taken. Entry was gained through a forced basement door. It was unknown at the time of the report if any proceeds had been taken from the home.
On Oct. 7: Ayanah Z. Bush, 25, of Newark was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Bush was released with a pending court date.
On Oct. 7: Osvaldo Morales, 20, of Summit was arrested on a contempt of court warrant out of East Orange. Morales was released after posting bail with a new court date.
On Oct. 7: Deyon M. West, 20, of Summit was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of an alcoholic beverage under legal age. West was released with a pending court date.
On Oct. 8 at 3:10 a.m.: A report was taken for a theft of services from a business on River Road. The manager reported two individuals ordered two meals which totaled $27.39 and then left the establishment prior to paying their bill.
On Oct. 10 at 2:59 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft to a motor vehicle. The incident occurred between 1 p.m. on Oct. 9 and 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 10. The vehicle had been parked in a driveway on Hillcrest Avenue and did not show signs of forced entry. Taken was a platter from Quartet, Anyilu silver sandals and some miscellaneous items. Total value is approximately $475.
On Oct. 12: Eric T. Rodriguez, 31, of Carteret was arrested and charged with possession of CDS. Rodriguez was released with a pending court date.
On Oct. 13 at 5:42 p.m.: A report as taken for a theft of political signs. The signs were last observed the night before and had been removed from a lawn of a Greenbriar Drive residence. The homeowner estimated the combined value to be approximately $40.
On Oct. 15: Anthony Patterson, 24, of Vauxhall was arrested and charged with a theft. Patterson was released with a pending court date.
On Oct. 15: Randolph F. Ollom, 59, of Summit was arrested and charged with Assault. Ollom was released with a pending court date.
On Oct. 21: Erica R. Humphrey, 25, of Irvington was arrested and charged with theft of a credit card(s) and fraudulent use of a credit card(s). Humphrey was released with a pending court date.
On Oct. 22 at 11:49 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft from a Morris Avenue residence. The victim reports approximately $2,000 in cash and a radio lamp, valued at $100 were removed from a room that he rents between 5 and 11 p.m. on this date.
On Oct. 24 at 9:01 a.m.: A report was taken for a burglary to a Blackburn Place residence. The homeowner reports the residence was entered between 12:01 and 6:30 a.m. on Oct. 24 through an unlocked door. Taken from the home was approximately $300 cash and prescription medication.
On Oct. 24: Alterique Q. Stith, 21, of Newark was arrested on a contempt of court warrant out of Hoboken. Stith was able to post bail and was released with a pending court date.
On Oct. 24 at 11:01 a.m.: A report was taken for a theft from a Friar Tuck Circle residence. The homeowner noticed numerous pieces of jewelry missing from a safe in the residence on Oct. 22. The resident was unable to determine an exact date of the incident. Taken from the residence were numerous pieces of jewelry valued at approximately $150,000.
