4th ANNUAL SPRINT FOR SPRINGFIELD SCHOOLS 5K RUN/WALK
SPRINGFIELD EDUCATION FOUNDATION PRESENTS THE 4th ANNUAL SPRINT FOR SPRINGFIELD SCHOOLS 5K RUN/WALK Race To Be Held September 28th
The Springfield Education Foundation (SEF) announced Sunday, September 28th as the date of the fourth annual Sprint for Springfield Schools 5K Run/Walk.
The Sprint for Springfield Schools 5K Run/Walk, a USA Track & Field Grand Prix event, will commence at 9:00 AM from the front parking lot of Jonathan Dayton High School located at 139 Mountain Avenue in Springfield. The cost of the event is $25 in advance, $30 day of event ($23/$28 to USATF members). Registration is available now via the Springfield Education Foundation website, www.springfieldeducationfoundation.com or via Foundation’s Facebook page. As previously announced, due to scheduling conflicts, the annual Fun Run will not be held this year.
The annual Sprint for Springfield Schools 5K Run/Walk has become a true community event that celebrates the start of school and raises much needed funds for some of the extra enhancements in the classroom. Now in its fourth year, over $36,000 has been generated by the Sprint for Springfield Schools with the proceeds helping to fund Walton’s Garden initiative; FMG’s Visiting Artist program, Caldwell’s leveled reading programs and progressive student learning centers and SMART Music programs throughout the district. Additionally, leadership scholarships are awarded annually to deserving seniors from the Springfield Education Foundation from monies raised from the 5K Race/Walk.

As all of the funds raised from the Sprint for Springfield Schools 5K Run/Walk go directly back into the schools or towards scholarships, the Springfield Education Foundation would like to thank the following sponsors for their contributions:
