Organization Honors Summit Police, Fallen Officers Through New Event
Players of all skill levels are welcome.
SUMMIT, NJ — The local Summit Police Benevolent Association (P.B.A.) Chapter #55 is holding its first-ever golf tournament to support its officers and honor those who have fallen.
A portion of the day's proceeds will go to the New Jersey State P.B.A. Survivor and Welfare Fund to help the families of those officers who have died.
Watchung Valley Golf Club will host the event on May 11, beginning at 10:30 a.m. with registration and a brunch.

During the scramble-style competition that is suitable for golfers of all skill levels, raffles and giveaways will be held on the course.
A cocktail reception and dinner will then follow.

Tickets start at $150 for an individual admission to the dinner only.
Donations are being accepted online for those who are unable to make the day's events but still wish to support the organization.
The Summit P.B.A Local #55 chapter was established in 1924 and works year-round to support officers and their families. Some of the events that the nonprofit takes part in include the Summit PAL Fishing Derby, the Law Enforcement Torch Run, and annual Toys for Tots drives.
