$500 Bicycle Stolen From Summit Home

Multiple thefts were reported in the city recently including a bicycle, wallets from Uber rides and a laptop from the Summit High School.

SUMMIT, NJ — Multiple thefts were reported in the city recently including a bicycle, wallets while taking Uber rides and a laptop from the Summit High School.

Summit Police Blotter:

On April 26: Daijah A. Drayton, 27, of Newark was arrested for a contempt of court warrant out of West Orange and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Drayton was released with a pending court date.

On April 26: David Anthony Marmora, 54, of Summit was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Marmora was released with a pending court date.

On April 27: Robert E. Chobor, 38, of Springfield was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Chobor was released with a pending court date.

On May 1: Michael J. Crane, 38, of River Edge was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Crane was processed and released with a pending court date.

On May 2: Danuta M. Rzegocka, 61, of Linden was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Rzegocka was released with a pending court date.

On May 7: Amber S. West, 20, of Safford, Virginia was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. West was released with a pending court date.

On May 10 at 5:20 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a bicycle from a Springfield Avenue residence. The incident occurred between the evening hours of May 9 and 5:20 p.m. on May 10. The bicycle, a black and silver Trek men’s mountain bike (with a Schwinn seat) was removed from the front porch of the home. The total value of the bicycle is approximately $500.

On May 11: Gregory I. Young, 23, of Franklin Township, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a contempt of court warrant out of Franklin Township. Young was released with a pending court date.

On May 15 at 6:47 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft from a Morris Avenue residence. The victim reported two tax refund checks were removed from the home recently (exact time frame was unknown). The two checks were valued for a combined total of approximately $1,400.

On May 16 at 8:33 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a wallet. The victim reported the wallet was last seen between 7:25 p.m. and 8:33 p.m. The victim believes the wallet may have been lost/stolen while he was utilizing an Uber Car Service. Taken was a black-colored wallet with approximately $200 cash, several credit/debit cards, a New Jersey Driver’s License, a health insurance card and a medicinal marijuana card. Total value for the items taken was approximately $200.

On May 17: Valerie Abraham, 33, of Maplewood, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Abraham was released with a pending court date.

On May 18: Clifford Wright, Jr., 31, of Summit was arrested and charged with simple assault. Wright, Jr. was released with a pending court date.

On May 18: Clifford Wright, Jr., 31, of Summit was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking of means of conveyance and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Wright, Jr. was released with a pending court date.

On May 18 at 3:46 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a laptop from the Summit High School. The victim reported the laptop was last seen on May 12 at approximately 1 p.m. The laptop was described as a black Dell Chromebook 11, valued at approximately $250.

On May 19: Darius M. Leigh, 26, of Orange was arrested for a contempt of court warrant out of East Orange. Leigh was released with a pending court date.

On May 19 at 10:08 a.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a wallet that occurred on May 16 when the victim was utilizing an Uber Car Service from Rye, New York to Summit. The victim stated the wallet had possibly been left in the back of the Uber and it contained several credit/debit cards and approximately $20 cash. One of the credit cards had been used the following date in an attempt to purchase a laptop from Amazon. The total value for the items missing was approximately $25.

On May 19 at 11:52 a.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a laptop from the Summit High School. The victim reported the laptop was last seen between 9:30 and 10 a.m. on May 17. The laptop was described as a Dell Chromebook 11, valued at approximately $250.

On May 20: Dimitrios H. Dovolis, 36, of Manalapan was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and a contempt of court warrant from East Brunswick. Dovolis was released with a pending court date.

On May 20 at 8:40 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a cell phone from Tatlock Field. The victim reported that the cell phone, a black Apple iPhone 5S, with a black charger case was lost sometime earlier in the night. The value of the phone is approximately $500.

On May 21: Johannes A. Zarzycki, 60, of Chester was arrested for disorderly conduct and a contempt of court warrant out of Bedminster. Zarzycki was released with a pending court date.

On May 21 at 1:44 p.m.: A report was taken for a theft of a wallet from a business on Broad Street. The victim reported that while shopping, an unknown individual removed the brown fold over wallet from the victim’s purse. Taken with the wallet were several forms of identification, a temporary handicap placard, several credit and debit cards, and approximately $40 cash.

On May 22: Konstanti Pazas, 35, of Kenilworth was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Pazas was released with a pending court date.
