$5K In Items Stolen From Middle Avenue Car: Summit Police

SUMMIT, NJ - More than $5,000 in items were taken from an unlocked car on Middle Avenue according to the Summit Police Department.

According to authorities, a report was taken for a theft from an unsecured motor vehicle on Middle Avenue where the victim reported that sometime between Aug. 21 and Sept. 3 a car was burglarized and and one silver Panasonic Toughbook laptop computer and one Bascom-Turner gas tester were taken.

The total value of the stolen items at the time of the report was approximately $5,000, police said.
