· Andretta, a center forward on Oak Knoll’s field hockey team, has been playing since fourth grade. She helped lead Oak Knoll to its third-consecutive state title over the weekend, and seventh overall.
· Leuthner has run track at Oak Knoll since ninth grade, but she’s committed for pole vaulting at Tulane. Since Oak Knoll does not have a pole vault pit, she travels to Pennsylvania two- to three-times a week train. Starting just one year ago, Leuthner called her experience with pole vaulting “a fast journey,” saying, “it’s crazy that I have only been doing pole vault for a year and now I am going to a D1 school for it.” Outside of athletics, Leuthner is editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, Untucked; an editor of the French newsletter, Ecoute-moi; a member of the Math League; a volunteer for Special Olympics; and a tutor to younger students.
