Alcohol Sales Jump in Nearby Restaurants Following Trump Inauguration

On the heels of President Donald Trump's inauguration weekend, 40NORTH Restaurants with locations in Summit, Morristown, Mendham, Montclair, Ridgewood saw an 18 percent jump in alcohol sales this past weekend.
"To be honest, we’re not sure if it’s a coincidence, or if people are drinking in fear or celebration of President Trump," a spokeswoman with 40North Restaurants told Patch.

- The Black Horse Tavern & Pub (Mendham).
The restaurants reported seeing an 18 percent increase in alcohol sales between Friday afternoon (inauguration day) and Sunday night – "with much of the damage done before the AFC and NFC football championship games even started."
