Carolers, Carriages And Free Parking In Summit Saturday
Festive downtown events highlight the holiday season.

SUMMIT, NJ - Parking will be free for all on Saturday as those looking for a way to get into the holiday spirit and get some shopping done can avail themselves of the offerings of Downtown Summit that include strolling carolers and free horse and carriage rides.

Carriages & Carolers ● 1- 4 p.m. ● Dec. 15, 22
From 1-4 p.m. on Saturdays Dec. 15 and 22 carolers will stroll through town and free horse and carriage rides will be available. The boarding location for the horse and carriage rides is Lyric Park, located at the corner of Bank Street and Beechwood Road.

Summit VISA Gift Cards
Summit's new VISA Gift Cards will also be available to purchase from 1-4 p.m. in Lyric Park. Summit Gift Cards are a great way to support local Summit businesses while giving a great gift to that special someone. They're perfect for teachers, coaches, students who shop downtown after school, your Secret Santa, and anyone you don't know what to get! Accepted at over 100 Summit businesses, both in and outside the downtown, Summit VISA Gift Cards are available for purchase at summitdowntown.org.
Free Holiday Parking Dec. 15, 22
On Saturdays Dec. 15 and 22, there are no fees required for on-street parking at 90-minute spaces or in long-term parking lots and garages (Broad Street garage, Elm Street, Sampson at Summit Middle School and Chestnut Street lots). The 90-minute time limit will still be strictly enforced for on-street parking spaces to encourage turnover. Fees are still required in the Deforest Park & Shop lots, YMCA/Library and Bank Street lots, and on the first level of the Tier garage. Parking on the upper levels of the Tier Garage is free.
