Celebrate Father's Day With Cars And Croissants In Summit

SUMMIT, NJ – An informal gathering of car and pastry enthusiasts will descend up downtown Summit Sunday as part of the annual gathering of the Cars & Croissants Club.

The show begins at 8 a.m. and ends between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

“Summit Downtown again welcomes Cars & Croissants to beautiful, historic downtown Summit this year,” said Executive Director of Summit Downtown, Inc. Nancy Adams. “We hope for beautiful weather so attendees can enjoy the fabulous cars, downtown businesses, and the popular Farmers Market this Father’s Day.”

Cars & Croissants is an informal club of automobile enthusiasts that meets bimonthly in various local locations. Cars will be parked along Springfield Avenue from Woodland Avenue to Summit Avenue, Beechwood Road from Union Place to DeForest Avenue, in the Bank Street parking lot, and on Union Place from Maple Street to Summit Avenue. During the event, Summit Avenue and Maple Street will be open to vehicular traffic.

Downtown Summit is traditionally one of the largest Car & Croissants gatherings, with an estimated 500 cars for attendees to view. Cars & Croissants is not a car show competition. Those interested in showing their cars should report to the Summit Diner, on the corner of Union Place and Summit Avenue, prior to 7 p.m.

This is a fair weather only event; there is no rain date. All parking is free on Sundays. The Summit Farmers Market, located in the Park & Shop Lot on the corner of Maple Street and Deforest Avenue, will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
