Coach Walsh: 'The Most Important Play is Always the Next Play'
In this week's Coaches Corner, Girls Lacrosse Coach Mike Walsh talks about the team's success so far this year and the importance of being resilient on the field, and in life.
Coach Mike Walsh came to Summit knowing that the community takes lacrosse very seriously. Armed with this knowledge and a team that has proven itself on the field both offensively and defensively, Walsh has led the girls lacrosse team to it's second straight Union County Tournament Championship.
One of the lessons Walsh — a lacrosse coach for more than 20 years and a resident of Summit — tries to teach his players is to be resilient. When a play goes wrong, he encourages the girls to shake it off and focus on their next move.
