Council, Board of Education, and Restaurant Week!

Plus: Speed the Plow opens Friday at the Summit Playhouse.

Happy Valentine's Day! We are more than halfway through February this week and there is a LOT going on despite being in the dead of winter. Check out the rundown of the five most important things you need to know about this week!

  1. Common Council will meet Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m. at city hall. Check back later today for a full preview of the agenda.
  2. The Board of Education will also meet Tuesday night. The meeting was originally scheduled for Thursday but was moved due to the beginning of winter break on Friday. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Franklin School.
  3. The Summit Municipal Democratic Committee will host a panel discussion Wednesday night on what Summit can expect from Trenton in 2011. Discussion starts at 7 p.m. at city hall.
  4. Restaurant Week starts Friday! More than 30 downtown restaurant are participating. Click here to see the list of participating restaurants.
  5. "Speed the Plow" by David Mamut is opening at The Summit Playhouse Friday night.
