'Elderly White Female' Sought For Flower Theft: Summit Police

The woman has stolen four or five bouquets on multiple occasions from a local business, police said.

SUMMIT, NJ - The Summit Police are looking for a woman responsible for stealing flowers from a Broad Street business.

According to authorities, officer responded to take a report on a theft of flowers from a Broad Street business on May 7. The victim reported that for the last few months an elderly white female, with gray hair pulled her vehicle to the rear door of the Broad Street business and steals approximately four to five bouquets of mixed flowers every few weeks, police said.

The suspect has been approached by employees, and she has stated she volunteers with the business but police said that is not true.

Each bouquet is estimated to be approximately $4 each, however, the total value of the stolen flower bouquets was unknown at the time of the report, police said.
