The Kent Place Gallery will hold a reception for artist Polina Barskaya, whose work is on exhibit there through Friday, Oct. 8.
Barskaya's work depicts individuals and groups of figures, referencing her cross-cultural experiences as a native of Soviet Ukraine who grew up watching American TV in the Russian-Jewish neighborhood of Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. She is a recent graduate of the MFA program at Pratt Institute.
