For many people, "The Holidays" are not a cheerful time Those who have lost loved ones, or moved away from a close-knit band of friends, or lost a job, or have unhappy memories of Christmas, may find this season challenging. In this non-denominational, reflective service, participants will explore how the themes of the pre-Christmas Advent season contain the seeds of hope that we all need at such periods of our lives. Readings, silence, beautiful and poignant carols, and a meditation on how the light shines in any darkness will comprise this service.
