Minuetto Music Festival

First Annual Minuetto Music Festival in Summit

                     June 26th, 28th & 30th

The Continuo Arts Foundation announces the Inaugural MINUETTO MUSIC FESTIVAL to take place June 25th - 30th in Summit, New Jersey.  Presented by The Grand Summit Hotel with support from Investors Bank, Peapack-Gladstone Bank, & Hilltop Community Bank, the Festival comprises three concerts: The Milton Cross Young Artist Showcase, International Superstar Violinist Judy Kang's CD release concert  and the Festival Finale Concert, featuring selections from Les Contes D'Hoffman, La Traviata & Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms. Singers in the Tri-State area are invited to perform as part of the Festival Symphonic Chorus and outstanding Young Vocal Artists are invited to audition for: The Milton Cross Award, The Rising Artist Award, and The Emerging Artist Award. Conducting are Continuo’s Candace Wicke and Riuniti Opera’s Beverly Coulter with other outstanding staff members from across the country.  Janet Whitman and Lyle Brehm serve as co-chairs for the Festival which will be hosted by Central Presbyterian Church at 70 Maple St., Summit.

According to Wicke, the Continuo Arts Foundation is based on the principal that exposure to the arts is essential to understanding our culture and heritage.  The Minuetto Music Festival offers the opportunity for musicians from the Tri-State area to come together for a stimulating experience which encourages the view that Northern New Jersey is an interesting and culturally rewarding musical destination.
