Organ Recital at Calvary Church, Summit
On Friday evening, September 28th, at 7:30, Calvary Chorale and the Metropolitan Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present Michael Hey in a recital on Calvary’s 4-manual Moëller Walker organ.
Mr. Hey studies organ at the Juilliard School and presently serves as Assistant Organist at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. He will present a widely varied program on not only music written specifically for the organ, but will also perform his own transcriptions of piano music by Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. The program will end with the well-known “Variations on ‘America’ by Charles Ives.
