
The Kent Place Gallery is showing watercolors and ink paintings by Polina Barskaya through Friday, Oct. 8. There will also be a reception for the artist from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, Sept. 23.
Barskaya's work depicts individuals and groups of figures, referencing her cross-cultural experiences as a native of Soviet Ukraine who grew up watching American TV in the Russian-Jewish neighborhood of Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. She is a recent graduate of the MFA program at Pratt Institute.
Kent Place Gallery is on the campus of Kent Place School, 42 Norwood Avenue, Summit.
