The event runs, rain or shine. There will be prizes, free hot dogs and free soda. Bring your own rod and reel. Bait, poles and tackle will be for sale as well! No fishing skills are required. The Summit Municipal Golf Course is located at 189 River Road in Summit, NJ. All of the Summit PAL events are provided free to Summit’s youth through their fundraising efforts. The Summit Department of Community Programs assists the Summit PAL with the event.
Generations of Summit youth have participated in this annual event. The pond on the “Muni” is stocked and ready to challenge kids to catch the big one! The Summit PAL Fishing Derby starts at 8:00 AM and runs until 4:00 PM on both days.
