Foot Chase With Car Thieves Ends In 4 Arrests: Summit Police
Police used the stolen Range Rover's GPS system to track down where it was taken to, said authorities.
SUMMIT, NJ — Four people were arrested in connection with a car stolen out of Summit.
At around 4:45 p.m. on Monday, a 2022 Range Rover was reported stolen from a parking garage in downtown Summit.
A team of Summit officers and detectives used the Range Rover’s GPS system and monitored its movements.

At around 7 p.m., officers found the stolen vehicle parked on Pine Street in Elizabeth and occupied by five men. As the officers approached the vehicle, all five suspects exited and ran, said police.
After a brief foot chase, the officers apprehended four of the five suspects. One suspect remained at large.

The suspects were all charged with third-degree receiving stolen property and fourth-degree obstruction of justice. The suspects were released on their own recognizance following processing.
The suspects were identified as: Andy Delaluzcclara, 19, from Summit; two 16-year-old youths from Elizabeth; and a third 16-year-old youth from Newark.
