
Renaissance Church invites all high school students, parents, and other adults to join them for an important seminar, Addiction Awareness, How to Recognize and Respond to Substance Abuse Affecting Your Loved Ones.
The free seminar will take place on Thursday, September 19, 7:30–9 pm at Renaissance Church, 2 Kent Place Boulevard, Summit.
Brought to you by Market Street Mission and Community Counseling, this seminar is meant to increase our awareness of drug abuse and addiction. The seminar will focus on the opioid crisis sweeping our country and understanding the pathways from drug use to abuse to addiction. Discussions will also focus on the impact of a loved one’s addiction on family and friends. Treatment interventions options are included. No registration is required for the seminar.

Presenters will include Tom Giglio, MSW; Paul Rabideau, MA, LPC; and David Dressler, MA, LAMFT. The seminar is one of Renaissance Church’s initiatives through its Ren Cares ministry. Ren Cares is an important part of the church, empowering others to use time, talents, and treasures to care for the needs of people within our community and around the world.
